Smoked out!

Sunday 27 March 2016
Nothing screams sexy more than a sultry smoky eye. Especially one that's been curated in the exact colours that make your eye colour pop! The rule is usually to go with the opposite colour to your eye colour, demonstrated by this colour wheel. Blue is opposite orange, red and brown therefore wearing those colours is really going to contrast and accentuate blue eyes.
However people with brown eyes are quite lucky as they can wear any colour and there eyes will look amazing, but if they want to give there eyes a sexy pop I would recommend going for a dark blue or grey smoky eye. Green can go with purple and burgundy hues to flatter most. I wear this look mainly for going out but you can always tone it down for a day time event. Here's how I create my smoked out eyes.

Face

I've stuck to my usual face routine as this look is all about the eyes! Just make sure to contour and highlight to give the skin that bronzed glow.
  • Primer: Smashbox primer oil & Pore minimizing- both £28
  • Foundation: Smashbox studio skin 2.2- £29
  • Powder: Smashbox halo hydrating powder in Light- £31
  • Concealer: Collection 2000 lasting perfection 01- £3.99
  • Under eye highlight: Mac prep & prime light boost
  • Contour: Smashbox contour kit- £35
  • Highlighter: Smashbox Crush on blush palette 'Shimmer'- £35

Eyes

Go super super smoky for this look! Use a warm dark brown above the crease and even darker in the outer corner to create a diffused cat eye. Put gold into the inner corner to add dimensions for a sexy bronze effect. Use gel liner and smudge it along the lash line to smoke it out for an almost messy look. Also line the upper and lower lash line to tight line and blend darker eyeshadow underneath to really make your eyes pop! And of course add huge lashes to finish.
  • Eye primer: Maybelline 24hr Tattoo cream shadow in Creme de nude- £3.99
  • Gel liner: Smasbox photo pigment gel liner Black- £18
  • Eyeliner: Bobbi Brown shadow stick in Tuxedo- £21
  • Mascara: Maybelline push up drama- £7.99
  • Lashes: Eyelure Kimberly lash- £5.49
  • Glitter pigment: Makeup forever stardust in 14- £13
Eyeshadow's all Mac £10 for refill pan.
  • Gold base- Bronze
  • Transition shade- Rule
  • Crease shade- Brown script & brown down
  • Outer corner- Embark & Carbon
  • Inner corner & Brow highlight- Phloof

Brows

I'm going for a spiky fluffy look with my brows to accentuate the smoky eye. Loosely define with a pencil and don't be scared to leave sparse fluffy areas, brush up all the hairs with a spooly then spike them up with a brow mascara.
  • Brow Pencil: Smashbox brow tech matte pencil-£16,50
  • Powder: Benefit browzings Dark- £24.50
  • Brow mascara: Loreal artiste brow plumper- £5.99

Lips

Balance out the dark eyes with really neutral lips. Choose a nude lipstick depending on your skin tone will flatter your face more. I've gone with a coral toned nude to enhance my warm skin tone. Also outline your lips first with a liner and finish off with a gloss for an instant sexy plumping effect.
  • Lipstick: Rimmel London Kate Moss in 43- £5.49
  • Lip Liner: No7 precision lips pencil Nude- £6.75
  • Lip gloss: No7 nude limited edition

Khaki Kraze: Look book

What once was a colour reserved for the army and puffy parka coats has transformed into the colour of the season. Seen on street style looks from Models and fashion bloggers a like. Wearing Khaki is a sure fire way to be on trend as the seasons transition into the warmer months. The best part about wearing Khaki is that it's so easy to wear! Such a necessity in your wardrobe as I guarantee it will go with so many clothes you already have, pair Khaki with neutrals or anything black.
So whether your style is military chic or grunge glam there will be a Khaki piece for you. Here is how I styled mine.

The Sleeveless Jacket

One piece that isn't going anywhere is the sleeveless jacket, they were HUGE last year and it's clear why as they seem to make any outfit look more chic. The best part is the versatility of these jackets as you can wear with a jumper and jeans for the colder days or a mini dress in the summer. I love the grunge vibe khaki gives so I paired this one with a leather skirt and leather boots.
-Khaki sleeveless jacket: Primark
- White high neck crop top: Missguided
- Black leather mini skirt: Boohoo
- Black leather heeled boots: New Look

The Playsuit

Can you believe I found this playsuit in Primark?! I was wondering around the incredible Oxford street one recently and saw the last one in my size I snapped it up straight away without even trying it on. Military playsuits are really on trend at the moment, I'm obsessed with anything that has big gold buttons and structured tailoring, the asymmetric skort shape is really figure flattering as well. Such a bargain for £12! I advise you all to run to your nearest Primark immediately and get one before they go.
-Playsuit: Primark
- Leather boots: New Look

The bandage two piece

Bandage material + Khaki + a golden tan= A match made in heaven. Showing that the colour also works perfectly for night out clothes. Pair with a golden smoky eye and glossy nude lips to inject some glamour. Plus sky high lace ups really elongate your legs when wearing a mini skirt.
-Bandage top & skirt: Missguided
-Lace up heels: Missguided

The Military Waistcoat

The best kind of outfits are the ones you can either dress up or down, so naturally I adore this military jacket. Despite the boyish silhouette the outfit can be more feminine when paired with an a-line mini skirt and over the knee boots. I also love wearing this with black tights to be more casual or even leather jeans, its the perfect thing to chuck over a black outfit and look complete.
- Military sleeveless jacket: New Look
- Black high neck top: Missguided
-A line mini skirt: Zara

21 Questions about me

Thursday 3 March 2016
Hey dolls,
I've finally decided to do a post not beauty related, SHOCK HORROR! I always see these 21 questions about me tags and I always like reading them so I thought why not? It'll give everyone a chance to know something about me other than what shade of foundation I'm wearing haha.

1. Are you named after anyone? I'm not named after anyone but fun fact I was actually called Ronnie for the first two days of my life. My mum said she just looked at me and thought ''She's not a Ronnie, she's Sadie''. Now all my baby cards say congrats on baby Ronnie Sadie.

2. When was the last time you cried? I actually cry a lot at films, at sad stuff in the newspaper etc... but last time I properly cried was probably when I was ill. I'm a big wuss.

3. Do you have kids? No, I can hardly look after myself.

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? I'd like to think so... I'd be good fun and helpful at makeup shopping. But I know I have my flaws I can get mood swings sometimes and I imagine that'd be annoying.

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? I swear everyone in England speaks fluent sarcasm. I use it in about 70% of my conversations, the worst part is if someone doesn't realise you're being sarcastic.

6. Will you ever bungee-jump? I'm not really an adventurous kind of girl... I'm more of a like to keep both feet on the ground at all times and hold on to the railings as I walk up small flights of stairs kinda girl. However saying that I did a zip-wire off a mountain in New Zealand once.

7. What’s your favourite cereal? Cereal should be an actual food group and also should not be considered as only a breakfast food, I eat it at all times of day. Probably Weetabix Chocolate Minis.

8. What’s the first thing you notice about people? There body language, tone of voice and just generally how they communicate. I think you can tell a lot about a person on how they choose to be towards others (A smile goes a long way). But I also notice the obvious like how they are dressed.

9. What is your eye colour? Blue with a speck of orange in one eye.

10. Scary movie or happy endings? Yeah rom coms are probably my guilty pleasure so definitely happy endings, I watch movies to escape and feel better, I don't want to feel bad after watching them! Also scary films are actually really scary too me, must be that wild imagination.

11. Favourite smells? Cocoa, Vanilla, Chanel Bleu mens aftershave.

12. Summer or winter? Summer for the weather but Winter for the fashion.

13. Computer or television? Computer. TV is dead, anything you can do on TV, you can do on a computer now.

14. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home? New Zealand and seeing as I live in the UK it is pretty much the furthest you can get from home.

15. Do you have any special talents? Being able to remember really pointless dates, times and number combinations, never the ones I actually need. I can also shake my eyeballs.

16. Where were you born? London.

17. What are your hobbies? Reading fiction, watching films and TV shows. Writing. Online shopping. Doing makeup on others and on myself.

18. Do you have any pets? A black cat called Presley who doesn't seem to like me very much, if I walk into a room he will get up and leave.

19. Favorite movie? I like so many and I will watch them over & over again. Hunger games, Burlesque, Breakfast at Tiffanies...

20. Do you have any siblings? Yes 6 actually (Don't ask). But I only live with my two younger brothers, one is 17 and one is 11.

21. What do you want to be when you grow up? I don't know what I want to be but I know what I like doing. If when I die I can honestly say I always did things that made me happy then I'll be happy. And that's the dream isnt it? Getting paid for something you genuinely enjoy.

I hope you enjoyed my 21 questions about me tag and learned something new. I would like to nominate anyone reading this who owns a blog to try it out!

Victoria's Secret: Taylor Hill Glam

Wednesday 2 March 2016
Victoria secret models have been the envy of females everywhere, with there impeccable figures, huge manes of shiny hair and angel features. Whilst most of that is down to extremely good genes and gruelling hours in the gym there are still some things us mere mortals can do to try and emulate this level of perfection. The VS fashion show makeup is always incredible, each year is varied slightly but usually has the same theme, tanned luminous skin, bronzed sex kitten eyes and big glossy lips. I remember being fifteen and watching endless Victoria's secret inspired tutorials, I was captivated and now finally I'm going to do my own take on there makeup.

I've based this look around new supermodel Taylor Hill, if you don't know who she is you seriously need to check her out! Her look is all about a bronzed smoky eye, big brows and naturally flawless skin. If you would like to know how I created this look please keep reading :)

P.S I'm wearing a nightie to keep within the Victoria Secret lingerie theme.... I wish I was that glamorous to wear a lace nightie around the house, but I'm not ;)

Here is the original pictures of Taylor I was inspired by however I've put a more glamorous twist on it by adding more coverage and more dramatic eyes.
