Ariana Grande 'Focus' inspired makeup look

I've always admired Ariana Grande's makeup, although minimal it is always flawless. She usuallly opts for sexy cat eye liner with a huge wing, big lashes and bold lips whereas the rest of her makeup is pretty simple, letting the eyes do all the talking. When I saw her Focus music video I literally had to watch it twice because I was so transfixed by her makeup and styling! The silver hair and bubblegum lipstick shouldn't work but it just does... It inspired me to create this look, a copper smoky eye with glossy pink lips, keep reading to find out which products I used.

Face

Her base makeup is super flawless and matte so a full coverage foundation with staying power will be the best option. I've incorporated some contour to add more dimension to the face. Highlighting the top points of my face such as; cheekbones, centre of nose, cupids bow, chin, inner eye corner and forehead. This gives an all round healthy glow.

Brows

Ari's brows are quite short and straight accentuating her round eyes. You can fake a straight brow (which is one of the biggest brow trends of 2016) by softly filling in your arch with a brow definer. Make sure to use a spooly to blend the product into your hairs.

Eyes

Her eyeshadow is a beautiful sparkly copper shade although the focus is on her lashes and signature liner flick. I've amped the eyeshadow up adding a darker shade in the outer corner and using a brighter copper orange. Of course I've finished off with huge lashes and winged liner to copy her Bambi eyed look.

Lips

She wears two stunning lip looks in the video, one is a bubblegum pink glossy lacquer and one is a mauve matte shade, both are over lined with a rose lip liner. I've opted for the glossy look as it's more summery however if you did want to do the matte look I reccomend Soar lip liner and Brave lipstick by Mac.
